Hello! I’ve got a fun shaker to share with you today (wait…when are shaker cards not fun?!) that uses the Leprechaun’s Gold Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. Don’t think you can only use it for St. Patrick’s Day. You can give a card like this anytime someone needs a little luck (and rainbows) on their side. I am entering this card into the current Lawn Fawn Challenge, which is Clean and Simple.

I love the little clay rainbows in this Blend, so I knew I wanted to highlight them. I used some paper from Lawn Fawn, as well as their Simply Celebrate Spring stamps because I wanted to use the shamrocks. They were colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.
This is a super basic shaker card. Rectangular opening, foam tape, a bit of exterior embellishing. I really wanted to highlight all of the cool things in the Leprechaun’s Gold Sparkle Blend, rather than go crazy with a whole lot of “stuff.” You can see those tiny rainbows, leprechaun hats, and shamrocks, plus the many different kinds of sequins in the Blend. On my top layer, I did heat emboss a sentiment in gold, and I added a few Gold Starburst Rhinestones, which are also from Doodles Paper Playground. My card base was painted with Cottage Ivy Fireworks! Spray, which has a bit of shimmer to it.
Even though shakers can be pretty busy, I like that this one is fairly clean. The subtle speckles on the green paper add some interest, and the rainbow paper is delicate but noticeable. The Sparkle Blend of course takes center stage, along with that row of shamrocks. Please visit the Sparkle Blends Shop to see all of the stunning Blends that are currently available.
