Hey there! I have a really fun stencil to share with you today. It’s called Cake Layers and it’s part of the new release from A Colorful Life Designs. This is a big cake with lots of wonderful drippy layers. I opted to cut off the right side of the cake, but if you take a look at the stencil, you’ll see that it’s a full cake.

I inked the stencil up with Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet Distress Ink. I went lighter on top and heavier towards the bottom. I trimmed my panel down and added my sentiment with VersaFine Claire Ink in Monarch.
I found a scrap of striped paper from Echo Park that had great colors on it, so I tucked that behind my cake. My card base was painted with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Spray and I flicked a bit of Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz on to it too. After I adhered everything, I added a few Neon Rhinestones from Doodles Paper Playground.
I love the perspective of the Cake Layers stencil. It really makes the cake feel huge. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the hundreds of stencils that are available.
