Hello! I recently made 2 more altered playing cards for my husband. I’ve been (slowly) working on making him an entire deck of cards. My cards today feature images and sentiments from Kawaii Cuties’ Love You Bunches Set. I also used the Outline Dies to cut them out quickly.

I made the backgrounds of these cards with scraps. For the olives, I used a Gel Press monoprint, added some scraps from an old book, and a bit of paint. For the broccoli, I used some paper from Echo Park, added some Salvaged Patina Embossing Glaze. See those hearts that are on both cards? Those were made from a heart cover plate die. I had used Gelatos to make a fun, colorful piece of cardstock for the top of a shaker card. I saved all of the hearts that the die cut out, and I’ve been using them on various projects. My olives and broccoli were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.
I love making these little cards. They’re kind of freeing. They can just be fun, tiny little art pieces. My husband always loves getting them. The Kawaii Cuties images are the perfect sizes for these altered playing cards. They’re big enough to make an impact, but small enough to leave me lots of room to play with the background. Be sure to check out the full line of Kawaii Cuties over at the Stamp Anniething shop. I encourage you to join the Stamp Anniething Stampers group on Facebook too. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
