Hello! Today I am sharing another card that uses one of the newest stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. This one is called Birthday Celebration. It’s 6×6 and is full of fun birthday or party themed icons.

I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go as far as colors or style for this card, so I dug through a bunch of my previously made Gel Press Prints. I came across the one you see above, which has brushy-looking strokes of teal and yellow. I thought it was a good backdrop for the Birthday Celebration stencil. I found some glitter embossing gel from Nuvo and applied it through the stencil. I actually made a full 6×6 piece and trimmed it down after it dried so that I can use the rest on another card.
I found a cool pinstriped cardstock from Waffle Flower that I used on my card base. I also flicked it with some Fireworks! Spray for a little more oomph. I grabbed a piece of yellow mulberry paper and tore the edges to make a strip to go across the card. I grabbed a “Yay!” from my Pinkfresh Studio stash and added it to the strip. A few sequins from the “Twilight Meadow” Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground finished the card off.
Having premade backgrounds is a big time saver, and I love digging through them to see what inspires me. The texture of the mulberry paper and the glitter gel gives the card a fun vibe, especially when you add in all of those bright colors.
