Hiya! The latest release from A Colorful Life Designs is all about birthdays and celebrations. I decided to use 2 of the new stencils on my card. Big Candles take center stage with a cameo of the Mid Century Party stencil.

I inked up all of the Big Candles with Distress Inks. I used a light hand when doing the candle, but went heavier with the same color when I laid the Mid Century Party stencil on top. I used Broken China, Mowed Lawn, Kitsch Flamingo, Mustard Seed, and Villainous Potion. For the flames, I used Mustard Seed (heavy handed) and Crackling Campfire.
I decided that I didn’t want a lot of white space in between the candles, so I cut them all out, which didn’t take long at all. Then I found some fun patterned paper to put behind them and added another patterned paper as a strip on top of the candles. I added my sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio on top of that, I inked up my card base with some Wilted Violet Distress Ink because I thought the card needed some more purple.
I love how fun this card is! I love just how big those Big Candles really are. They fill up a card easily. And this color palette is very cheery.
