Hello! I have a new Kawaii Cuties card to share today. I really love all of the sweets and baked goods from this latest collection, and I like pushing myself to do more clean and simple (sort of) cards. I chose to use the Jell-O dessert from the I Will Never Dessert You set.

I colored the dessert with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and used the outline dies to cut it out. I chose colors that would coordinate with the new Retro Kitchen Paper Pad that also came out during this latest Kawaii Cuties release. I knew I wanted to spotlight where I was going to stick my dessert, so I added a circle directly on to my card base with a couple of pink Zigs. I adhered a strip of Retro Kitchen paper and stamped on my sentiment with VersaFine Clair Ink in Twilight.
Then I used my Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Spray and Spray Stain to splatter the background. I kept the splatters more concentrated where the circle was. I adhered 3 Cool Starburst Rhinestones from Doodles Paper Playground for shine.
This may not be super clean & simple to some, but this is my version of it. Lots of white space, a concentrated area of interest, and not a ton of layers. This allows you to have the focus on that one small stamped image, without needing to worry about creating a scene, or doing a lot of complicated techniques to fill the space. Don’t get me wrong…I love layers and doing lots of techniques, but sometimes it’s nice to just focus on one small area or stamp. Be sure to check out the full line of Kawaii Cuties over at the Stamp Anniething shop. I encourage you to join the Stamp Anniething Stampers group on Facebook too. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
