Hello! I’ve got another shaker card that uses a cover plate die to share with you today. I had shown one on the 17th that you can check out HERE. No foam used on this baby, nor is there a lot of tricky glueing. But I did go a bit crazy with my Sparkle Blends from Doodles Paper Playground…I used 3 different Blends in this card!

I want to make more birthday cards throughout the year. I never really seem to have enough. Plus, I have a ton of patterned paper so I thought this was a great way to take care of both these things. I chose a paper from Echo Park’s It’s Your Birthday Boy collection and die cut it with Mama Elephant’s Grid Window Cover Die.
Then I went to town with my Sparkle Blends. I used Mardi Gras Beads, HBD2U, and Annie’s Music From the Heart. There’s a serious party going on here. They were all put into packaging from a stamp set and sealed up. Then I taped the sparkly pouch to the cardstock. For my card base, I spattered a bunch of coordinating colors with assorted sprays. I used some Dylusions, some Distress Spray Stains, and I don’t even know what else. Then, I chose a sentiment from Pinkfresh Studios Perfect Sentiments Stamp & Die.
I love how happy and fun this card is! I also really like that it’s so flat and can be mailed easily with no extra postage.
