Greetings! Today I have a White Rose Crafts project to share. I made a card that uses an adorable bunny from Craft Consortium’s English Garden stamp set. These images are so sweet. The lines are clean, the images are very open, and they are wonderful to color.
I stamped the bunny on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with VersaFine ink, and I colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I didn’t have plans beyond that, so after I fussy cut the bunny, I started going through the many paper pads I have from White Rose Crafts. I came across a favorite of mine, which is “Greenhouse” from Kaisercraft. I love the soft colors in this collection and I found two prints that I thought worked well with the bunny.
I wanted a mottled background, filled with color, but not overly vibrant. So I went through my monoprints, and found this great roll-off print (the print you make while rolling off your brayer…it’s really just excess paint, but it often becomes an amazing background.), which I cut down to fit my card base. I inked the edges of the roll-off print with Chipped Sapphire Distress ink, and I inked the chopped circle around the bunny with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink. I also added thin Wedgewood blue strips of cardstock behind the floral layer to break it up from the background a bit. Last, I added a small stamped “hello” which I die cut and popped on top of it all.
I love getting to use scraps, which is what I did on this card. The coloring was quick, so all in all, this card came together pretty quickly once I chose the papers I was using. It’s a sweet card that can be used for a lot of occasions. I look forward to playing with more of the Craft Consortium stamps that I have, and I’ll be sure to share them with you. The White Rose Crafts shop is closed for the summer. They are undergoing some major changes that I think you will all love. The store will reopen on September 1st. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
