Hello! I am really excited to share today’s card because it is part of a collaboration between Sassy & Crafty and Brea Reese. I used the new Sassy Girls- Spooky stamp set from Sassy & Crafty, along with Mars Black and Orange Alcohol inks from Brea Reese.
I colored this beautiful witch with Copics. I had Rhiannon help me choose the colors for her dress, and I think she chose perfectly. I carefully fussy cut her out, and then started working on my background.
I like to work on Poster Board paper from Dollar Tree. It’s inexpensive and alcohol inks mover well on it. I like to put down a layer of Blending Medium first, and then I start to drop in my inks. I found that the Mars Black is super potent, and doesn’t really break down, which is perfect for the deep, rich look I was going for. You don’t need very much to create a full background. I love how the Orange and Mars Black blend together. I stamped my sentiment with StazOn, and colored the edge of my white card base with an Amethyst Sparkle Marker from Spectrum Noir.
I love that the background isn’t a “scene” but evokes feelings and suggests that something spooky is afoot. This is such a fun collaboration, and we’re just getting started! I’ll have another project to share tomorrow that uses products from Sassy & Crafty, as well as Brea Reese. Be sure to head over to the Sassy & Crafty Blog to see more spooktacular ideas. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
