Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of The Rabbit Hole Designs‘ June Release! You got a sneak peek at the stencil I’m showcasing today in my project yesterday, but today, the new Ribbon Star Stencil is taking center stage. Be sure to read though my post to see not only the entire hop list for today, but information on TRHD’s giveaway for this release.
As soon as I saw this awesome stencil, I knew I needed to try using it with foil. I have a bunch from Therm O Web, and I decided to go with the Purple Sketch, from the Brutus Monroe collection. It’s a purple foil, but it also has these fun holographic streaks running through it. I applied Therm O Web’s transfer gel through the stencil on black cardstock, let it dry, and then ran the stenciled piece though my laminator with the foil.
For my sentiment, I heat embossed in silver one of the sentiments from the Space- Infinity & Beyond stamp set. I decided to go with a gray card base, but I needed more shine, so I opted to use a pearlescent purple embossing powder in an uneven fashion around the perimeter.
This card is larger than what I normally create. It’s a 5″ x 6 1/2.” I really wanted to showcase as much of the stencil as possible, so I think this bigger card is perfect for it. I love the look of this stencil, and I can imagine using it in many ways. Below is the giveaway info as well as the full hop list. Don’t forget to visit The Rabbit Hole Designs to see all of the new products from the June Release. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
