Hello! Today is Day 1 of The Rabbit Hole Designs June release! I am so excited about this release because these stamps and stencils are really different from anything you’ve seen from The Rabbit Hole Designs. Today, out focus is on the stamp set called Infinity & Beyond. Be sure to read though this post to not only get the full hop list, but info on the giveaway from TRHD.
This little moon man looks like he loves sitting on his little moon swing, right? I colored him with Zig Clean Color Markers (except for his face shield which is with a silver metallic marker) and fussy cut him out. The stamp has “strings” for his moon swing, but I cut them off and wrapped purple twine around his hands instead to give more dimension to the card and to add to the swing’s look.
On a piece of turquoise cardstock, I used the new Ribbon Star Stencil (more with that tomorrow!) by applying translucent stencil paste though it and then sprinkling on some holographic glitter while the paste was still wet. I would up with a beautiful starry background that really sparkles! I wanted to add some depth to the background, so I ink blended some Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink just to the bottom of the turquoise cardstock. I also added a sentiment from this stamp set with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink.
On my white card base, I mounted some deep blue cardstock, which I lined with the same silver marker I used on the astronaut’s face shield. It added just a bit more shine. The bright colors work really well with the deep blue, and all the silver helps the elements really stand out.
I love these bright, unexpected colors for this moon man (or woman!). I wanted to avoid grays here. I am so happy with how it turned out! Please read the info below on how to enter the giveaway.
