Hello, crafty folks! It’s time for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop and I am excited to be participating with Stampendous. Stampendous always has some great coffee/tea/hot cocoa themed stamps in their assortment and today I am using one that has become a favorite of mine.
I used 3 out of the 4 stamps in the Pumpkin Latte stamp set. You can alter the cup very easily which is one of the reasons I love this set. But on this card, I opted to keep that focal image as-is. First I stamped my background (on cream colored cardstock) with the swirl stamp, using Pumpkin Spice VersaMagic ink. This is such a beautiful color, and of course it’s perfect for this stamp set and theme. Then I stamped my latte from white cardstock with VersaFine ink, colored the image with Tombow Dual Brush markers, and fussy cut it out.
Next, I cut a piece of kraft and orange striped cardstock from Doodlebug, and added my sentiment to it. I adhered it to my background, and inked the edges with Sage VersaMagic ink. I love the soft, chalky look to the VersaMagic inks. They are one of my favorite lines of ink. I added a piece of craft foam to the back of my background and adhered it to my cream colored card base, which I inked with more Pumpkin Spice VersaMagic ink. Then, I added just a few sequins from the Pumpkin Spice Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground with On Point Glue.
This stamp set is great because the focal image is quick to color, it’s easy to cut out, and easy to alter. I made this card in under 15 minutes, which is super fast for me. Sometimes you just need to bang out a few quick cards, and this set is definitely perfect for that.
