Hello! Today I am sharing a card that uses the new White Rose Crafts November Subscription Kit. The name of this kit is, “A Merry Little Christmas” and it’s filled with traditional and fun Christmas items.
I really love the patterned papers that come in this kit, so I drew my inspiration from one of the papers. The kit comes with the tree die that you see, and I thought I could mimic the look of the little trees in the background paper. The die actually cuts holes to represent ornaments, but I thought it would be fun to fill in these spaces with the Candy Cane Sparkle Blend.
There is no Sparkle Blend included in this kit, but it was so easy to choose a Blend that worked perfectly with the look I was going for. I adhered the sequins with On Point Glue, which is my favorite liquid adhesive. I also die cut a separate star out of gold cardstock (it comes in the kit) to adorn the top of the tree.
The 2 other papers I used on this card also come in the kit, so you don’t have to worry about coordinating your papers. Everything automatically works beautifully together. I cut a tag out of the snowflake paper, and made a chiffon green bow (out of my personal stash) to add some soft dimension to the card.
This is a fairly quick card to recreate, since there’s no coloring or fussy cutting involved. If you don’t want to spend time gluing each individual sequins, you could easily use something like Nuvo Drops to fill in the spaces, or leave the ornaments empty. I think this is a sweet and festive card, and I love that it came together quickly, thanks to the “Merry Little Christmas” Kit from White Rose Crafts.
