Greetings! Today I am sharing the card I made for my son’s 11th birthday. He loves Lawn Fawn critters just like I do, and I recently purchased a couple of sets that I knew I had to use for him. Needless to say, he loved the card. I am playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which has the theme of Party. I am also entering this card into the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge which is Use Your Favorite Lawn Fawn Set.
Seriously, is this a party or what? I used stamps from Party Animal and Forest Feast. Forest Feast is my current favorite set. But that keeps changing, because I love them all so much! I knew that the tree stump stamp would be the perfect table for a grand party. The hardest part was figuring out who the Guest of Honor was going to be, and I think this little chick stepped up to the plate nicely (pun intended).
I stamped all of the images with VersaFine ink in Onyx Black on Canson Mixed Media Paper, with the exception of the stump, which was brown cardstock with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink. The stamped images were then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and fussy cut, as I don’t have the dies for these sets. But, the shapes are simple enough to cut them out by hand easily. I was luck to find photographic grass paper from DCWV for my ground, and I used Stampendous’ Picasso Shield/Stencil to create the clouds in the blue sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.
That’s it for me today. I will be back tomorrow with another sneak peek from the Stampendous January 2018 catalog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
