Hello! I have a lovely card to share today that uses only a few supplies, and is quite relaxing to make. I think the new Thanks in Bloom Press + Foil Plate Set from Spellbinders is so pretty, and I knew I wanted to keep things simple the first time I used it so that the focus would stay on the lovely blooms. This set is part of the Create Your Way Everyday Collection.

I used Spellbinders Porcelain Cotton Cardstock and Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink with the Plates. Truthfully, these flowers are so pretty you could stop right there and have a beautiful card. But of course I needed to do more.

I painted the flowers with Aurora Blue from Kuretake’s Granulating Watercolors Set. I love the variation of colors you get from one pan. The leaves and stem were a blend of greens that I mixed up from my Koi Watercolors palette. I left the background white.

It’s a very simple card, but the size of the flowers have a lot of impact. It would be really nice to make a set of these in different colors to give as a gift. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of their latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
