Ahhhhh, snacks. I love snacks. Sweet snacks…salty snacks. Sweet AND salty snack in one. But I don’t think I love snacks quite as much as Chompster. Who is Chompster, you ask? Chompster is a ridiculously adorable monster that’s in the Spellbinders Just Add Cake Birthday Cardmaking Kit. This fuzzy monster has been so popular that now they’ve got their own collection called Snack Goals. I’ve got two cards to share, using the various new dies that are in the collection.

Let’s start with my gal version of Chompster.

As I usually do, I did my die cutting and piecing together of both my Chompsters before I thought about the rest of the card. I made her green and did a bit of ink blending to add some shadows. I decided this one just needed to have a donut with pink icing and sprinkles. The donut is part of the One More Bite Die Set. The hat is from the Top it Off Die Set, which has a bunch of fun hats. I used my Copics on the hat to give the hat and bow some details and faux dimension.

Then I shuffled through the many backgrounds I have pre-made. I came across the very last piece of sheet music I made in THIS video, that I painted with Distress Paints. I thought the colors were just perfect with this version of Chompster. My sentiment is from the Just Add Cake Birthday Box that our fuzzy friend originally came in.

She is so happy to have that donut. Now, on to my second card….

I went with the cowboy hat for this Chompster, which I added details to with my Copics, just like on the other hat. He told me he realllllly wanted a sandwich cookie, so that’s what I gave him. Oh, and he’s got braces. They’re in the One More Bite Die Set, and I think they’re hilarious. I used silver foiled metallic paper for them.

This background was also made some time ago, and it started with an alcohol ink monoprint, made on my Gel Press. I had then used VersaMark Ink on top of it, with the Pinwheel Illusion Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I heat embossed a turquoise blue powder on top. It’s been sitting in my stash for a while, and it wound up being the perfect background for Chompster. My sentiment on this card is also from the Just Add Cake Box.

There are other die sets and stamps in this new collection, and you can check them all out HERE. If you don’t have our furry friend, go through your other dies and see who you can pair them with. do you have the large gummy bear from the Beary Sweet Collection from Hero Arts? Maybe you got the big kitty from their Cozy Season Collection. They can also be used on their own! I had so much fun with these.
