Hello! I am so inspired by this month’s My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero Kits from Hero Arts. I absolutely love the fall, and that’s what this month is all about. You may have seen THIS card from earlier in the month that uses the kit. Today, I’ve got two more that focus on some of the pumpkins in the kit. They’re very different from each other, which shows some of the versatility of the kits.

I made the pumpkin patch card first. I die cut the 3 pumpkins, the cart and sign, and put it all together. Then, I actually stamped the background on the second card, thinking I was going to use it with the card. I thought it was a bit too busy, so I pivoted and saved it for later.

I went through my patterned papers and found the one with the leaves from Carta Bella. It coordinated perfectly with my pumpkins. I die cut it with the larger rectangle die in the My Monthly Hero Kit. I wanted another pattern, so I chose an argyle plaid from Lawn Fawn and tore it at an angle. I inked my card base with Getaway Ink from Catherine Pooler. Last, I added my sentiment, which was stamped on Kraft cardstock with Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink.

As I mentioned, this background was originally intended for the first card. But, the style of the pumpkins and vines didn’t quite match the die cuts, in my opinion, and it was just too busy with the cart because the sizes were too similar. To make this background, I inked the pumpkins with Orange Peel Ink and the vines with Eucalyptus Ink, both from Catherine Pooler.

To give the card a little more interest, I inked the bottom with Buttercream and Cashmere Inks from Catherine Pooler. I could have colored everything in, but I liked the delicacy of the design without. Then I added my sentiments, which were stamped with Acorn VersaFine Clair Ink, and aged with Cashmere. Then I added some shine with Opalescent Cashmere Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

These are both great cards to just send someone a warm hello. I think they’re both really pretty. Please visit Hero Arts to check out the latest releases as well as the My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero Kits. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
