Hello! This month’s My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero Kits from Hero Arts are absolutely stunning. The theme is Autumn Harvest, and they’re filled with elegant, textural, gorgeous products. I was so drawn to the Dried Corn Decor Dies and coordinating stencils, I knew I had to start there.

I started by die cutting the corn out of a pale yellow cardstock. The leaves were cut from a “dirty” yellow. I used the stencils (which can be used alone, by the way) to ink up the corn, and I did the leaves freehand. For the corn, I used Catherine Pooler Inks in Juniper Mist, Merlot, and Sauna. I used Amber on the leaves. I used the die that is meant to cut out the stenciled corn as a guide for placing my individual pieces, then I adhered them to navy blue cardstock and fussy cut them out.

I used the same blue cardstock for my background, which I embossed with Spellbinders’ Dimpled Embossing Folder. The texture reminded me of corn kernels. I used that cardstock a third time for my sentiment, which is from the Grateful and Thankful Stamp & Cut in the My Monthly Super Hero Kit. I stamped the sentiments with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed them with Champagne Gold embossing powder. I used foam tape to pop up my corn and sentiments. Finally, I added some Metallic Bronze Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs to complete the car with some shine.

I tried my best, but I don’t think my photos do this card justice. It’s really elegant and dare I say, sophisticated. Please visit Hero Arts to check out the latest releases as well as the My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero Kits. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
