Hello! Today’s card features the Old Fashioned Christmas Stocking Die Set from Spellbinders. I really like this die set because it has not only the stocking, but lots of things that you can tuck inside of it. I decided to combine it with a great 3D Embossing Folder, which is also from Spellbinders.

Every piece, except for the metallic star and ornament toppers have been die cut from monoprints that I have made. I’ve backed each of them with white cardstock for stability. I thought these grungy prints really added to the vintage look for the stocking and it’s components. And because of that, I didn’t need to do any additional ink blending.

For my background, I used the Favorite Song 3D Embossing Folder. I used a piece of light brown cardstock, and after it was embossed, I inked it with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks. My sentiment is from the Joyful Christmas Press + Foil Plate and Die Set from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders. I inked it with Spruce VersaFine Clair and aged it with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Using monoprints for my die cuts is something I really love to do. Especially if a print doesn’t have enough interest, but I like the colors. They worked perfectly here with this stocking.
