Hello! I adore this month’s My Monthly Hero and My Monthly Super Hero Kits from Hero Arts. The name of the collection is Wicked Good, and it really. really is. I’ve got 3 cards to share today, and it was really hard for me to stop after only 3, because I haven’t used so much of the products in the kits yet. Those will have to come at another time though. If the kits are sold out when you’re reading this, I’ll have information below, straight from hero Arts on how you can get in line to start receiving the monthly kits.

The first card I made was the one with the witch’s hats and spider web. That card is made up of only products in the regular My Monthly Hero.
I created my background first with Green Parade Nuvo Shimmer Powder on Strathmore Smooth Bristol Cardstock. After it was dry, I stamped the Web Background with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.
I looked through the Stamp & Cuts in the kit and was immediately inspired by the witch hat. I stamped it repeatedly onto white cardstock with more Nocturne Ink. I also stamped one hat on a separate piece. I inked the hat’s ribbon with Grass Skirt Ink from Catherine Pooler. I wanted the hats to stand out more, so I colored the strip and the single hat with my black Copic marker and added them to the background. My sentiment is from the kit and I cut it 3 times to make it stand out. I also used a Clear Glitter Pen from Scrapbook.com to make it sparkle.
Next up is my card featuring the cauldron. Cauldrons are really symbolic for me…in fact, I just got a cauldron tattoo while I was in Salem, Mass this year with my family! I knew I needed to make something with it, but I opted to not make a shaker (yet). I stamped y sentiment right onto the cauldron with VersaMark Ink, and used silver embossing powder on it. I used the same glitter pen I used on the hat card all over the cauldron. The bubbles were cut from Spellbinders cardstock and inked with Grass Skirt Ink.
I decided to go with an alcohol ink background, and I chose to use Vineyard. It’s such a nice purple! I have videos on my YouTube Channel on how to create this effect. I added some black splatter to tie the background into the black of the cauldron, which I popped up with some 1mm black foam tape.
My third card features the Miss Witch Die Set, and I think she is so pretty! I love that you can have her peeking around a door or window. I kept things pretty simple with her, using almost all back with some touches of silver. I also added her little kitty to her hat. This set comes with several fun “familiars” that Miss Witch can have.
I created a gray doorway using one of the Essential Arches Dies from Spellbinders. Then, I embossed it with the Plaster 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders, after I inked the folder with Moon Rock ink from Altenew. Behind that, I used a very grungy green Gel Press monoprint I made. Last, I heat embossed my sentiment in black.

When your spot reaches the front of the line and a subscription becomes available, your subscription will automatically begin and the card on file will be charged. Your $5 Spot Hold will be applied toward that purchase. There’s nothing else you need to do—and no chance of missing your opportunity because you didn’t see an email in time.
Saving your spot reserves your place in line, not a specific month’s kit.
