Greetings! I’ve been sharing projects using Spellbinders’ Spectacular Christmas this month, and I have one more. This card uses Spectacular Santa, along with the awesome Diamond Blocks 3D Embossing Folder, which I used in a fun way. You’ll note that I did not put glasses on my Santa, so don’t feel like you always need to use the spectacles that are in the collection.

I started by die cutting my Spectacular Santa. I love that he has a bell. Again, this is something you can omit, but I liked that little bit of shine. I used a Swiss Dot textured cardstock for his sack, which I thought looked really cute. I didn’t do any ink blending on him.

I wanted to play with the Diamond Blocks 3D Embossing Folder. I love embossing folders because you can do so many fun techniques with them. This one in particular lends itself to be cut up. I embossed a piece of green and a piece of ivory, cut each of the blocks and then pieced them back together on my card base. You can even do more than 2 colors! I added a banner sentiment from the Dear Santa Holiday Banners & Greeting Press + Foil Plate and Die Set. I finished it off with some Moonshine Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

I really like this jolly Santa and the texture of the background is just fabulous. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of this month’s new releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
