Hello! I cannot begin to explain how excited I am for one of the latest releases from Hero Arts. It’s called Summerween, and as you may have guessed, it’s a Halloween and Summer-themed collection. It’s got some absolutely fa-boo-lous images, and spooktacular die sets. I’ve already made a bunch of cards with the collection, and today I’m sharing one that I made as soon as I pulled the collection out of the box.

I love flamingos. I have been a long-time collector of them and truthfully, I’ve got a ton including a pair of skelemingos that come out at Halloween. They’re favorites of mine, so I squealed when I saw the pair of skeleingos in the Ghoul Summer Stamp and Cut. I was so excited to make a card with them. I stamped them onto black cardstock with VersaMark Ink, and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder. After I die cut them, I set them aside to work on my background.

I kept things really simple and I worked directly on the card base. I created a halo of orange with Tiki Torch Ink from Catherine Pooler. Then I added my sentiment with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne. Last, I splattered on some Fortune Teller Mica Stain, which is a fabulous purple that looks fantastic with the orange.

I love, love, love this card. It makes my flamingo-loving heart happy. I can think of at least one other person that will love it too (I’m looking at you, Kat!). And I am so excited to show you the rest that I have made with the Summerween Collection. Please visit Hero Arts to see the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
