Hello! Earlier this week, the new collection from Susan Tierney-Cockburn and Spellbinders, called Serenity Garden, was released. It’s got some really intricate flowers, some foliage, and a unique 3D Embossing Folder. The folder is what inspired me today.

I smooshed Antique Linen, Salvaged Patina, and Uncharted Mariner Distress Inks onto my Glassboard Studios Glass Mat. I spritzed the inks with water then started to dip my Mixed Media Paper from Scrapbook.com into it. I added several layers of color, drying in between layers. Then I ran the paper through my die cut machine with the Ode to a Poet 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I used my Walnut Stain Distress Ink to ink the high spots of the embossed paper, to bring out the design.

On top of my background, I die cut the pieces from the Poetic Foliage Die Set and inked them with Rustic Wilderness and Villainous Potion Distress Inks. To “tie” them, I used the Twine Die Set from the Field Notes Collection. For a sentiment, I used a BetterPress Plate from the Grungy Background Set. I distressed it with Antique Linen. Around the edges of my card base, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I love that it looks like a book page filled with ephemera. This was a really fun card to create. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
