Greetings! It’s time for some Mid Month Inspiration with A Colorful Life Designs. Each month, on the 15th, a new stencil is released at a low price. This price only lasts for one week, and you are allowed to use my coupon code with it for even more savings! This month’s stencil is 6×9 and it’s called Patterned Noise. It’s really cool.

I had a Gel Press print you may have seen me make in THIS video, and I thought that Patterned Noise would be a make a great layer for on top. I used Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Scepter Red from Tonic Studios with one of their Media Spatulas. I am really loving those tools for applying paste! I cleaned off my stencil immediately, so that the paste wouldn’t dry on it.

After the paste was dry, I mounted the panel onto a black card base. I thought the Yay Die Set from Spellbinders would be a good sentiment for the card, so I cut the shadow layer out of sheet music (to coordinate with my focal layer) and the top layer out of yellow cardstock. I inked the top layer a bit with Mustard Seed Distress Ink, just to grunge it up a bit, and then I added some black lines for detail. I added some red ink around the edges too.

I love that the sentiment is bold, yet allows you to still see so much of the gel print and stenciling. The Pattered Noise Stencil is so cool, and I know it’s going to be great for lots of projects where I need something, but it doesn’t need to actually be a thing, ya know?
