Hello! No, that wasn’t a misspelling in my title….”lobe” is really the word I wanted to use. See, a friend needed to have brain surgery. Yes, actual brain surgery…so I just had to make him a card, and the brain set from Trinity Stamps was absolutely perfect. This set was a freebie with purchase a few months ago and is not available for purchase. I’m so grateful to have a 2 friends offer to help me out, as I had missed the window to snag the brain myself.

I colored the brain with a couple of Copics, I believe R20 was one of them. I had a scrap piece of black cardstock that had a scallop detail, and I thought that would be a fun way to add my sentiment, which I heat embossed with white.

Since the brain is made up of pathways that are kind of like a circuitry board, I knew I had to use the Circuit 3D Embossing Folder from Tim Holtz. I used a metallic foiled green cardstock for it and then enhanced the panel with Gold Hero Wax from Hero Arts. I applied it with my finger, but you can use an applicator if you prefer. I needed to ground my brain and sentiment, so I cut a rectangle from the Playful Stitched Panels Die Set from Spellbinders out of vellum. I inked the edges of my card base with Black Soot Distress Ink, and I popped up the brain with an Action Wobbler from Pear Blossom Press.

My friend loved the card, and his surgery seems to have been a success. If you haven’t checked out the freebies from Trinity Stamps this year, you really should….they’ve all been various body parts with punny sentiments, and they are just terrific! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
