Hello! I really like the May 2026 Press + Foil of the Month from Spellbinders. It’s a scene of many hot air balloons, floating in the sky. It’s going to be a lot of fun to color up the entire scene, but for this first card, I only wanted a couple of balloons colored.

I pressed the scene two times onto Strathmore Smooth Bristol Cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink. I set aside one of the panels, and on the other, I colored the balloons with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Then I chose 2 to fussy cut for this card. I also pressed and die cut the sentiments that are in this Club Kit.

I die cut my panel to be small rectangle, and decided to use a piece of Spellbinders Colored Cardstock behind it. But it was a little too plain. So I took the hot air balloons Press Plate and pressed it into the colored cardstock with no ink. I only wanted the impression so that it was subtle. I cut the piece to make it narrow. I then popped up my focal panel, hot air balloons, and sentiment with Foam Tape and inked the left and right side of my white card base with Cashmere Ink from Catherine Pooler.

This is a great way to use this Press + Foil Kit if you aren’t really a fan of coloring. Doing just one or two hot air balloons makes a big impact. Thank you so much for your kind words!
