Hello! I had so much fun creating today’s card, I couldn’t wait to share it with you! I used 3 of the Spellbinders Club Kits for March 2026, and I really love how it turned out. My husband loves a particular brand of sneaker, so when saw the dies for it in the Large Die of the Month, I knew I needed to recreate an old pair of his shoes.

I needed to make the shoes red, his favorite color. The laces, soles, etc. were done in an ivory, instead of a harsh white. I used a silver gel pen to add the grommets to the shoes. Aren’t these dies fabulous? And there’s a lot more in this set that I haven’t used yet! You’ll see them in upcoming posts.

My background was made with the March 2026 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. It’s called Urban Grid and it’s such a cool map! I inked the folder with Charcoal Suit Ink from Altenew before running my gray cardstock through my die cut machine. I used the same cardstock for my sentiment, which is from the Clear Stamp & Die Set of the Month. I mounted everything onto an ivory card base (the same color I used for the shoes), and I added a verrrrry thin border of Nocturne Ink to the edges.

This is a great encouragement card and would work for any gender. I know I will be making a ton of these shoes! I might just build up a stash of them so that I have them at the ready when I need them. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the Club Kits for the month. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
