Greetings! Today I’m sharing a card that uses the new Music Elements Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I went with a bright rainbow of colors and a couple of elements from an older collection from Spellbinders.

On a piece of Strathmore Smooth Bristol Cardstock, I inked the Music Elements Stencil with Catherine Pooler Inks. I used Rouge, Limoncello, Something Borrowed, and Grape Crush. Somehow, after removing the stencil, I got some water on the panel and the color started to feather. Instead of freaking out, I leaned into it and sprayed the whole panel with water to get the effect all over. I think it looks really cool.

I die cut the guitar from Spellbinders’ Mini Guitar out of Kraft and Brown cardstock. I added a bit of Over Coffee Ink for some shading as well. My sentiment is from the Family Musical Mix Greetings Stamp Set, which I inked with Over Coffee and then added some orange residual ink from my blending brush. On my white card base, I inked my rainbow again.

I love happy accidents. They push me to look at things in new ways and work out problems, which often gives me ideas for future projects. The water softened the music notes in a unique way.
