Greetings! I have two more cards to share that use the Upright Italic Everyday Sentiments from Spellbinders. This is an affordable mini collection that gives you three lovely sentiments that make it look like you spent a lot of time perfecting the art of calligraphy, when really, you just used your BetterPress or Glimmer Machine!

The first card uses the Thank You. I chose a few patterned papers from the Breakfast in Bed 6×6 Paper Pad from Rosie’s Studio and Spellbinders, with the tiny hearts being my focal layer. I used Green Oasis VersaFine Clair Ink for the sentiment, then I die cut it with a stitched rectangle from the Bow & Bell Scallop Frame Die Set. I also used that die with a piece if white cardstock to give the patterned paper some stability.

Then I just played with the other papers in the pad and pieced them together to create a pleasing design. I needed a little something extra, so I chose a floral from the Breakfast in Bed Diecut Cardstock Ephemera and added that to my card. I love the little bit of shine that it added to my card.

I really love playing with patterns and figuring out how to make them work in harmony instead of fighting each other. I think they all look really terrific on this card together.

I kept things a bit simpler on my second card. I chose the cups with the gold foil from the same paper pad and inked up the Thinking of You Sentiment with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. I inked the edges of the paper with Minted Ink from Catherine Pooler.

The gold foil is much more subtle on this paper than some of the others in the pad, but I love that about it. Summer Sky Memento Ink was the perfect shade of blue to coordinate with the blue mugs, so I used it on my white card base.

I really like how both of these cards turned out, but I’m partial to the first one because I got to play with so many patterns. Please check out the latest releases from Spellbinders. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
