Greetings! I wanted to share my take using the Spellbinders Stencil of the Month and their Small Die of the Month. I wanted to use some of my favorite colors and some fun papers to make a dark, almost goth version of a super hero.

I started by building my super hero. I wanted her to wear all black, but to have a fancy cape. I found some glittery ombre cardstock that has shades of purple, and I knew that was perfect. I also die cut some of the accompanying stars out of a metallic copper cardstock and placed the larges one on her back. I opted to not have her legs swing, but it’s a fun option to make the card more interactive.

For the background, I only used a few of the stencils in the set. It’s called Burst Mode, and it has a ton of layers and looks so cool! My first layer was painted on with Tainted Love Teal from the Lindy’s Magicals Haunted Halloween set. There’s a ton of shimmer! Next I inked a layer with Drive In Ink from Catherine Pooler. I wanted to leave some white space, so I didn’t use any of the other stencils that had rays. For the dots, I used Queen for a Day Ink. I added a few more stars and my sentiment, which is from this month’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month.

The Small Die Set is really fun, but I absolutely love the Stencil of the Month. All of the layers and options are totally up my alley. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of this month’s Club Kits. Some past Kits are available on their site too. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
