Hello! I have another card using some of this month’s Club Kits from Spellbinders. This is the second card that features the Embossing Folder of the Month. You can see my first card HERE. I went with a bold, inky look this time and turned it into a birthday card that’s appropriate for any gender.

I ran some white cardstock through my die cut machine with the Embossing Folder. This folder is called Solar Flare, which I think is such a great name. After the panel was embossed, I flipped it over to the back side, so that the design was recessed. Then, using my 4″ Tim Holtz Brayer, I rolled the inks from the Blue Breeze Kaleidacolor Ink Pad across the surface. I applied several layers of color, until I was happy with the results.

Next, I made my sentiment using this month’s Press + Foil of the Month. I inked the words with Paradise VersaFine Clair Ink and inked the edges with Fantasia VersaFine Clair Ink. For shine, I added some Opaque Iridescent Blue Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

I like to use the reverse side of an embossing folder sometimes. It stretches it’s versatility and gives you some unique options you really can’t do with the front. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of this month’s Club Kits. Some past Kits are available on their site too. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
