Hello! I love a good funny, punny, or snarky card. And I’m crazy about the This is Life and Aged to Perfection Collections from Spellbinders. They’re meant to go together, so I was very happy to play with all of them together, especially the hilarious Dancin’ Chatterbox Die Set.

I started by die cutting the Dancin’ Chatterbox. My good friend Deana suggested I give him a gold tooth, which I thought was an amazing idea! I added that, plus a few other god accents with some metallic foiled paper from Recollections. I also thought googly eyes would be fun, so I added those too. Turns out, you can get some that are the perfect size HERE at Spellbinders! I love that his little legs can swing. He seriously cracks me up. Here’s a look at how he moves.

For a mat, I used the Essential Arches Die Set from Spellbinders with a piece of patterned paper from MFT. Behind that, I wanted some texture, so I used the Dimpled 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders. This is such a great folder because it an be used for so many styles and card themes. My sentiment is from the Ugh Clear Stamp & Die Set from Spellbinders and I inked the edges with Lime Rickey Ink. I inked my card base first with a layer of Sixteen Candles, then a thinner border of Party Dress.

There’s a lot of terrible things happening right now and making funny cards like this makes the world seem a little less heavy. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
