Hello! The new This is Life Collection from Spellbinders is sooooo great! It’s snarky, punny, and feels so true. There are 4 sets of dies that come with sentiment stamps and today I’m using Dumpster Fire, which is my favorite of the four. I’m also using one of the newest stencils from A Colorful Life Designs, called Falling Dots.

I die cut the dumpster and fire with colored cardstock, and I did a bit of ink blending with Catherine Pooler Inks and my Waffle Flower Shader 1+ Brushes. I used Lime Rickey on the dumpster, Tiara on the yellow part of the fire, and Tiki Torch on the orange part of the fire. I also used Tiara and Tiki Torch on my sentiment strip.

My background started off with a yellow patterned paper that has fine splatter all over it. I inked the Falling Dots Stencil with Tiki Torch, then I inked the edges of the paper with Samba and Icing on the Cake Ink to make it look burned. I inked my card base with Icing on the Cake with a blending brush. I used foam strips to pop up the dumpster and the sentiment.

This little dumpster seriously cracks me up. It seems like almost everything is one big dumpster fire lately, unfortunately…but this fella can at least make you smile. Please check out Spellbinders to see the whole This is Life Collection. I’ll have another card using it soon. And don’t forget to visit A Colorful Life Designs if you need any stencils or Card Bling.
