Hello! I’ve been an avid reader since I was a child, and while I may not have as much time to read as I’d like, I do pick up a book whenever I have a chance, and it’s always hard for me to put it down. Right now, for example, I’m reading a book named Cultish by Amanda Montell. It’s a fascinating read about language. This month’s Hero Studio Kits from Hero Arts is called One More Chapter, and it’s all about bookish folks and day dreamers. The Card Kit is fantastic, and I am having a hard time putting it down…just like a good book!

I put my gal together using various cardstocks, including copper foiled cardstock, and a fun patterned paper from Spellbinders’ Just Sayin’ 6×6 Paper Pad. I love that you can easily customize the book, the reader, and their shirt by using different dies and papers.

I decided to use the Delft Floral Color Layering Stencils from Hero Arts for my background. I used Cashmere, Clay Mask, and Uptown Inks from Catherine Pooler for it. These colors worked perfectly with my die cut focal image. It took over a little too much, so I opted to wrap the panel in vellum to soften the look. I stamped my sentiment with Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink and used the residual ink that was on my blending brush to apply Uptown to my card base.

I truly love this card kit, and I am excited to show you what else I’ve made with it. Please visit Hero Arts to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
