Hello! The new Beautifully Imperfect Collection from Spellbinders is fantastic. It’s really artsy and can easily give a mixed media look without it actually being mixed media…unless you want it to be, of course. I used the Butterfly Splatter BetterPress Plate and Die Set as my jumping off point.

I inked the butterfly up with Spectrum Kaleidacolor Ink from Imagine. It came out so beautiful and vibrant! I decided to tear around the edges of the butterfly because it worked really well with the messy splatter. I also inked up my sentiment with the same inks and used the coordinating die for it.

I just got a really cool paper pad called Day of the Dead from Crafter’s Companion. I love it because of the bold colors, and the look of gel prints. I chose one of the papers for my background and used the Deckle Edged Script Die Set to trim it down. I only used the edge, not the Script die. Behind it, I inked my card base with Grape Crush Ink from Catherine Pooler. I wanted some shine, so I cut a couple of the “threads” from the Tangled Threads Die Set out of foiled gold cardstock. I adhered everything flat except for the sentiment, which I popped up with foam tape.

I love how this came together. The vibe is so funky. The whole collection is really cool, so I hope you’ll check it out. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
