Hello! I absolutely love watching the sky change color at sunset. My kids and I often watch the colors shift and name different ink colors that would match. It’s a fun little game we play. I was inspired by Hero Arts’ Coastal Blooms HeroScape Stamp & Cut to recreate one of those sunsets.

I started with the layering stamps. For the fence, I used Morning Frost and Evening Gray from Altenew. Be wary of how this lines up. There won’t be spaces between the slats. I tried it that way first and it didn’t work. I recommend using the angled piece to help you line the top layer of the stamp up. I used Melon Ice and Lime Rickey for the foliage, and Oh Boy and Something Borrowed for the hydrangeas. Those inks are all from Catherine Pooler.

I used Smooth Bristol Cardstock from Strathmore for my background, since inks blend so smoothly on it. From the bottom up, I used Limoncello, Bellini, Orange Peel, and Flirty Fuchsia. These inks are all also Catherine Pooler. I repeated the inks on the card base. I could have just made my layers a full A2 size, but I wasn’t fully sure what direction I was going, so I cut it all down like I usually do. I think the layers look quite nice though. I finished off the card with some birds, a sentiment, and a few Glossy White Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.
