Greetings! The Country Christmas Collection by Annie Williams and Spellbinders is full of charm and nostalgic elements. I particularly love the Christmas Rocking Chair Die Set, as not only does it have a fabulous rocking chair, but there’s also a blanket, a pillow, a small tree, and even a teddy bear. Many of these elements can be used for so much more than Christmas cards.

I decided to go with non-traditional holiday colors…especially after I found that pretty plaid paper that I used for the blanket and hat. I did some ink blending on my elements as I went along, before I glued them. For example, I used Gathered Twigs Distress Ink on the rocking chair, Charcoal Suit from Altenew on the bucket, and It’s a Girl from Catherine Pooler on the cushion. I used my Waffle Flower Shader 1+ Brushes for all of these, and it really adds the look of dimension, plus brings these elements to life.

For my background, I used the Petite Criss Cross BetterPress Plate, which I inked with Baby Pink VersaFine Clair. Then I die cut it with the Essential Arches Die Set from Spellbinders, and inked the edges with Serene Ink from Catherine Pooler. I mounted all of my elements on to navy blue cardstock, and I chose to not have a border this time. I used Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink for my sentiment.

I love how this little scene turned out. You can omit the tree and just use this as a welcome baby card, a shower card, or even a get well soon card. There are other components to the Christmas Rocking Chair that I didn’t even use here, so it’s a wonderful, well thought-out set. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
