Hello Sunshine! I have a fun monochromatic card using some new Spellbinders products from two different collections. The first is Dina Wakley’s new Modern Botanicals Collections. The other is La Dolce Vita. Many of the La Dolce Vita products were in the latest Weekender Kit.

I started by making that fantastic sun from the Under the Sun Die Set. I used several shades of yellow cardstock, plus brown, pink, and white for the details. It’s a very easy set to put together., though the lips are a bit fiddly. I also die cut my sentiment from the La Dolce Vita Banners set, using two of the same yellow cardstocks. I added a touch of Catherine Pooler’s Tiara Ink to the edges of the top layer of the banner.

I used another piece of yellow cardstock with the Lined Circles 3D Embossing Folder. I wanted the circles to stand out a bit more, so I inked them gently with the Tiara Ink. I added a touch of ink to the edges with a blending brush. I inked the card base with Peanut Brittle Memento Ink and then popped the sun up with Foam Tape from A Cherry on Top.

I love how the sun fits so well inside the circles. These elements really work well together, even though the styles of these collections is completely different. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
