Hello! I am smitten over the Field Notes Collection from Spellbinders. It’s so perfect for someone like me, that loves to examine nature carefully, take notes on what I see, and enjoy little moments of wonder. I got to use an old monoprint on this card too, which made me very happy.

Let’s start with the background. I had a monoprint made with acrylic paint a cap, which looked cool, but it needed something else. I used the Scribbled Letter Embossing Folder on it, and then inked it with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. That was exactly what it needed.

Next I used the Field Notes Tools die set and had fun making all of these little elements. I also used one of the sprigs of flowers from the Field Notes Wildflowers die set, and I added a few touches of ink in the flower centers. My sentiment is from the Cherish This Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set and I lightly inked it with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink. I used Scattered Straw Distress Ink on my card base.

I love this card so much. There’s so many things to look at, but it’s not too busy. Please visit Spellbinders to check out the rest of the Field Notes release, as well as all of the other new collections. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
