Hello! Sometimes, to take off the pressure of designing a card, it’s nice to choose an element and repeat it. In this case, I used the heart from Jaycee Gaspar and Spellbinders‘ new Kaleidoscope Noble Suits die set. I repeated the hearts 4 times, with different color families to make a clean design, but one that still has lots of interest.

I cut my hearts in shades of yellow, green, pink, and teal. These dies look like they’re complicated to work with, but they’re really not. I can get them put together quickly, and they are so beautiful when all is said and done. I mounted them onto a piece of coral cardstock, from Scrapbook.com’s Daybreak Paper Pad. I trimmed the edges of the panel with my Tonic and Tim Holtz Deckle Trimmer, and then inked the edges lightly with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink.
I decided to use one of the sentiments from the January Clear Stamp and Die Set of the Month from Spellbinders. I inked the “smile” with Summertime VersaFine Clair Ink. I wanted to ground it with something, so I grabbed some ribbon from May Arts that I had in my stash. I popped the panel up with 1mm Foam Tape from Scrapbook.com and opted to leave my card base white.
You can do this type of repetitive design with stamped images, ephemera, or even stickers. It’s a fun way to take the pressure off because you’re just using the same thing over and over. Having a simple grounded sentiment below can easily complete the look. You may need to use more than 4 of something (perhaps even less!) depending on the size of your chosen element. I hope you’ll give this a try. Be sure to visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
