Greetings! Today’s card features the Feathered Friends BetterPress Plate & Die Set from Justine’s Farm Collection by Justine Dvorak and Spellbinders. I knew right away that I wanted to watercolor these two, so I took out my Koi watercolors and played.

I used my BetterPress and Porcelain Cotton Cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink to get my impressions. I die cut the birds and then used assorted colors from the Koi palette to finish them off. I also made my sentiment.

I thought the February 2025 Embossing Folder of the Month would be a perfect backdrop for the rooster and hen. I used plain white cardstock and after I embossed it, I applied Speckled Egg Distress Ink with a blending brush to the outer edges. I popped up the hen and the sentiment with foam tape and added some Satin Matte Nude Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. I mounted it all onto a white card base.

I really enjoy using watercolors on cotton cardstock. You can use watercolor paper in your BetterPress if you prefer, though. Be sure to visit Spellbinders to see the entire collection of Justine’s Farm. I’ll be sharing more from it soon. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
