Hello! I have a fun monoprinted birthday card today, that uses the Ornamental Trellis stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I love using geometric stencils for gel prints, especially when I get a grungy look. This print turned out to be perfect for a birthday card.

I used some bright colors of acrylic paint on my 6×6 Gel Press Plate. This is actually the ghost print, which is the second print I pulled after I pulled the stencil off of the plate. If you’d like to see me make some prints in detail, please visit my YouTube channel. I have a Monoprint Monday Playlist consisting of 60 Shorts, as well as several full-length videos.

I didn’t want to cover up the print too much, so I grabbed a sentiment from Uniquely Creative’s Card Making Word Dies and cut the 2 layers out of coordinating cardstock. For a bit of shine, I added Crystal Metallic Mermaid Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. I left my card base white, because I didn’t want to detract from the monoprint, and a little bit of white space was warranted here.

This print is the perfect mix of grunge and vibrant, and I love how it turned out. Please visit the A Colorful Life Designs website to see the thousands of available stencils.
