Hello! My card today features the Wavy Rays stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. Originally, I was planning on using warm tones for this card. But, I wanted to play with my Distress Spray Stains, and I have more cool tones than warm, so I opted to change my color choices.

I taped my stencil to a piece of cardstock and sprayed it with Villainous Potion, Salvaged Patina, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Spray Stains. I opted to not use Pixie Spray this time, which resulted in some of the color bleeding under the stencil. I didn’t love how it looked, so after the panel was dry, I used a White Posca Pen to clean up the messy spots. It doesn’t do a perfect job, but it looks much better than before.
I inked my card base with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink and a Blending Brush, to keep it soft. My sentiment is from Uniquely Creative‘s Card Making Word Dies. I die cut the words out of an eggplant colored cardstock and the shadow layer out of a pink cardstock that has a subtle geometric design on it. I popped it up with some foam tape. For shine, I added a few Luminous Petticoat Pink Card Bling Sequins from A Colorful Life Designs on a diagonal.
I love these colors together. And this stencil gives such a cool optical illusion. Please head over to the A Colorful Life Designs website to see the thousands of available stencils.
