Hello! Today’s project is not a card, and it wasn’t made by me. Spellbinders recently came out with a new Felt Stitch & Create collection with Nicole Spohr. It has a number of absolutely adorable critters and little houses. One of the die sets I received is called Pumpkin Lane House, and it is absolutely precious. Now, I sew, but only with a machine, so my 15 year old daughter Rhiannon jumped at the chance to make this sweet little house for me.

Spellbinders sent me the Trend Collection of Merino Wool Felt Sheets to use along with this die set. The colors are just gorgeous. Rhiannon had a really good time deciding which colors to use for what element. Once she figured it all out, she die cut everything. She was pleasantly surprised at how nicely the felt die cut.
This is the back of her pumpkin house, which truthfully, is just as cute as the front! You can customize the house as much or as little as you want. You don’t even need to stuff it like Rhiannon did. You can cut simply a front. But I love how dimensional you can get with it.
She used embroidery floss to stitch everything together. I love how some pieces, like the pumpkin, have contrasting stitching. She stuffed the pumpkin and the mushrooms with poly-fil.
Below is a photo of me holding the finished Pumpkin Lane House so you can see just how big it is. It’s a fantastic size!
Rhiannon would like to hang this on our Christmas tree, but I think I need it somewhere else, because I want it to stay out all year! It’s just so adorable. I can’t wait to show you the other project she made from this collection. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the Felt Stitch & Create and Merino Wool Felt options. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
