Hello! This month, a few of the new stencils from A Colorful Life Designs are coffee themed with a holiday twist. My card today uses the Cup of Cheer stencil. This is a great one for batching if you have folks that love coffee, tea, hot cocoa, etc. I am linking this card up to the Fall/Winter 2024 Coffee Loving Papercrafters Hop. I always enjoy participating in this hop.

I did some quick masking of each section of the stencil so that I could apply my chosen Distress Ink colors. The mug was done with a combination of Saltwater Taffy and Lumberjack Plaid. The “tree” was done with Mowed Lawn and the star was inked with Mustard Seed. Last, I use Lost Shadow for the saucer. I decided to make he ornaments sparkle with a sparkly gold Stickles. The sentiment was also done with Lumberjack Plaid.
To step the design up a bit, I did something my good friend Amy, from Amy’s Wares does on many of her cards. I grabbed an embossing folder and added texture to the whole panel. I decided to go with the Tiny Dots Embossing Folder from Spellbinders. It’s a favorite of mine because it’s a simple, clean look that works with many styles. To help enhance the dots, I ink blended Lost Shadow around the edges. I decided to keep my card base white.
It’s a really simple design, but it’s so cute! You can quickly make a bunch of these and give packs of them as gifts or just mail them individually to friends and family. Time goes so fast during the holidays, it’s nice to have a quick design you can count on in a pinch.
