Hello! One of my favorite purchases over the last few years is absolutely the Fundamental Furnishings, Take a Seat and the Decor and More dies from My Favorite Things. Pairing those dies with stencils from A Colorful Life Designs makes for such fun and quick cards that can really be used for many occasions. I also really like to use Gel Press print scraps for these dies because they always look great.

The Mid-Century Lot of Bangs stencil was my jumping off point for this card. And I thought it looked really great with the Around the World stencil. I ink Lot of Bangs onto a piece of paper from Scrapbook.com’s Daybreak Paper Pad with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I used the same ink directly on my card base with the Around the World stencil.
Again, I love to use Gel Press print scraps for my couches, blankets and the vases I use when I make cards like these. You typically don’t need to add any additional inking…it just looks great as soon as you die cut the pieces! My sentiment is from the Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous Noteworthy stamp set. If you don’t have that stamp set, I have to tell you, it’s absolutely one of my most-used ever.
It’s a simple card, but I just love it. As I mentioned, I make cards like this often, and I swap out the stencils, colors, etc…but I keep the layout basically the same. I use them for sympathy card, New Year’s cards, and more. They’re just great. Please head over to the A Colorful Life Designs website to see the thousands of available stencils.
