Hello! Have you seen the new collection from Spellbinders called Bibi’s Cats & Pugs? It’s so cute, and obviously, there are a bunch of cats and pugs to play with. But there’s also a Big Bicycle. You can add some of the smaller cats and pugs into the basket, or omit the furry companions completely. My card today uses only part of the Big Bicycle because I wanted to crop it down, but there are so many fun ways to use this die set.
I die cut all of my pieces using a variety of cardstocks from My Colors. Before I glued everything together, I inked up some of the pieces using Evergreen Bough, and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I should mention that the die set is actually a full bicycle….I just decided to cut mine at the seat. But it’s a huge bike!
My background paper is from Kaisercraft’s Greenhouse Paper Pad. I love the soft watercolor look of this paper. This is a really old paper pad and I can’t seem to find it online anymore. I added a few highlights to the bicycle with my Signo White Gel Pen from Uniball. The edges of my card base were inked with Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink, to bring out the colors of the tulips. The sentiment is from the Cats and Pugs Sentiments, which is in the same collection as this Big Bicycle. It was stamped with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink.
Some of the parts of the bicycle can be a bit fiddly, since they’re so skinny, but overall, it’s not too tough to put the pieces together. Using the shadow layer of the bicycle makes it a bit easier, but I didn’t want to use that today. Please check out the rest of the Bibi’s Cats and Pugs collection from Spellbinders. It’s really fun. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
