Hello! If you have seen me use alcohol inks before, you know I prefer to use it on Jot Poster Board Paper from Dollar Tree. I was having some fun with the Four Squares stencil from A Colorful life Designs, and did a bit of experimenting, which resulted in a cool background.

I used the Four Squares stencil with Everglades Alcohol Ink on a piece of the Poster Board Paper. Since there was a lot left on the stencil, I sprayed it with Isopropyl Alcohol and then flipped it on to a new piece. That’s the background I used here. I actually liked the way this came out better than the first background.
One color wasn’t enough though. So I decided to grab some Distress Oxides and do some ink smooshing. I used Fossilized Amber, Villainous Potion, Seedless Preserves, and Twisted Citron. That was a good start, but I needed more, so I used Villainous Potion and Seedless Preserves on the edges with Mini Ink Blending Tools.
I used one of my favorite combos to make a sentiment. The “dude” from CZ Design and Simon Says Stamp, along with the “you’re awesome” from Lawn Fawn’s Purrfectly Wicked stamp set. I die cut the dude from yellow and green patterned papers. My sub-sentiment was stamped with Charming Pink VersaFine Clair Ink. I added Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs in Satin Matte Gold, and I inked the edges of my card base with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide.
