Hello! I love the card I’m sharing with you today. It’s funky, has shine and texture, and I think it’s cool. I used the new Scrawled Pen stencil from A Colorful Life Designs on it with some other wonderful products.

I started off with a piece of sheet music. I love working on sheet music. The color of the paper is a lovely ivory, and it has a nice feel to it. Plus, seeing the notes peek through here and there makes any project unique. I used this as a roll-off print, made with acrylic paint, as I was working with my Gel Press one day. I really liked the colors. I decided to use the Scrawled Pen stencil with Therm O Web‘s Transfer Gel Duo so that I can get a fabulous foiled finish on top of the roll-off. I chose the Rose Gold Deco Foil.
I love the dimension and shine you get from using the Transfer Gel Duo. I typically use it through my laminator, though you can also use it through a die cut machine. I find the paste gets a little squished from the pressure though. For my sentiment, I went with a simple “thank you” from Simon Says Stamp and CZ Design. I cut the top layer out of a metallic gold cardstock and the shadow layer out of vellum. I mounted my panel onto a piece of gray cardstock. I inked the edges roughly with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide, to tie the base back into the focal panel.
I love the texture on this card, and how distressed it is, even with the clean lines of the sentiment and stencil. I think it came out really cool, and since I cut the stenciled area down the middle, I have a second panel I can use at a later date.
