Hello! I’ve got a House Mouse card to share with you today. I used the Froggy Throat stamp set from Spellbinders, which is part of the Everyday House Mouse collection. The focal image is quite large, so if you’re a fan of coloring, this is a great stamp for you.

I stamped he image and sentiment onto Smooth Bristol Cardstock from Strathmore, stamped it with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne, and then colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Here’s a breakdown of the colors I used:
Mouse: Skin: 064, 071, 072, 230
Fur: 062, 064, 065
Jacket: 302, 304
Tongue Depressor: 064, 076
Book: 064, 073, 303, 030, 034
Frogs: 045, 401, 404, 050, 230, 026
Bottle: 065, 601, 054, 055, 041, 094, 090, 900, 034, 403
Ground: 603, 074, 076
My favorite part of this is the bottle. I really love how it came out. There was too much white in the background, but I didn’t want to fully color it, so I ink blended Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, which gave it an old, vignette kind of feel. I mounted the colored piece onto a brown card base.
This definitely took some time to color, but I had so much fun doing it. I really love how it came out. You can check out the full House Mouse collection over at Spellbinders HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
